Monster Goldfish Found in Lake Tahoe By Tanya Lewis and LiveScience Source: http://www.scientificamerican.com/article/monster-goldfish-found-in/
Summary: A gigantic goldfish has been found in Lake Tahoe. The goldfish was 1.5 feet long and 4.2 pounds. They have found a school of 15 goldfishes which was most likely dump by aquarium owners. Gold fishes are considered invasive species whom can interfere with the ecosystem in lake Tahoe. Aquarium dumping can cause ecosystem problems so we shouldn't dump our fishes in local ponds or lakes.
Opinion: The title made me read the article it was very interesting. The goldfish is huge, I didn't know they could get that big. I also didn't know it was bad for the ecosystem because they were released by their owners in a place they aren't suppose to be located in. I also learned that they don't know the age of the 4.2 pound goldfish so who knows it could be a baby or an adult. I want to know how they get so big because article doesn't seem to mention it.
