Reflection:
I find it amazing how this book made a huge difference in the U,S. I find Rachel Carson a very amazing person because she had so many problems while writing the book from things like breast cancer to raising an adopting young children and yet she still became successful. I admire her a lot. She help ban DDT and the clean water act was passed. Her medical problems were limiting her work but she still worked though it and argued about the pesticide DDT and how it affects human health, animals and the environment. |
